Lunar Wallet is a self-custody browser wallet. Your keys, your recovery phrase, and your encrypted vault are generated and stored on your own device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. We do not run accounts, we do not track you, and we do not sell data. This page explains exactly what data does leave your device, and why.

What stays on your device, always

• Your recovery phrase and private keys are generated locally and stored only inside the extension, encrypted at rest with a key derived from your password.
• Signing happens entirely on your device. A transaction is only ever broadcast after you approve it.
• Your password is never stored or transmitted, and there is no way for us to recover it or your funds. Nobody but you holds your keys.

What leaves your device, and who receives it

A blockchain wallet cannot work in complete isolation: to show balances, resolve names, estimate fees, and broadcast transactions it must talk to blockchain infrastructure. Those requests necessarily include public data such as your wallet addresses and the transactions you choose to make. We minimize this and never attach an identity to it.

Blockchain nodes and services

• RPC providers (for balances, fee estimates, name resolution, and broadcasting transactions): your public addresses and the transactions you submit are sent to blockchain RPC nodes. Where these requests pass through Lunar's own relay, we inject provider credentials server-side and do not log request bodies.
• Block explorers (Blockscout): when you add a watch-only address, that public address is sent to a public block explorer to fetch its recent on-chain history.
• Price data (CoinGecko): fetched to display fiat values. These requests do not include your addresses.
• Transaction submission and swaps (e.g. Jito, Astralane, Uniswap, Relay, NEAR Intents): used only when you perform the corresponding action, and only carrying what that action requires.
• On-ramp (MoonPay): only if a "Buy" feature is enabled in a future release, and only to pre-fill a purchase with your receiving address. This feature is not active in the current version.

These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We do not share any account, contact, or identity information with them, because we do not have any.

What Lunar never does

• No accounts, no sign-up, no email or phone required, no KYC.
• No analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or behavioral tracking.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data. We hold none to sell.
• No collection of your addresses, balances, transaction amounts, or recovery phrase.

Permissions

The extension requests only the browser permissions it needs to function: local storage (for your encrypted vault and settings), alarms (for the auto-lock timer), active-tab detection and scripting (to read a token address from a supported trading tab when you use Fast Swap), and network access to the blockchain and price hosts listed in the extension's manifest. None of these are used to observe your general browsing.

Data retention

Your wallet data lives on your device and is removed when you remove the extension or reset the wallet. The only data we retain is the optional crash reports described above, which auto-expire after approximately 90 days.

Children

Lunar Wallet is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the wallet handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's release notes.
